My first fillet had an undesirable taste that made it only really suitable for spicy tuna rolls. The color also kind of put me off because its so pink, not really red at all and looks artificial. The fillet was also kind of falling apart, but for spicy tuna that obviously doesn't really matter.

I ordered this because it was on the member special. The block I received had a fishy smell to it. I tried to eat it raw as nigiri sushi, but the fishy after-taste was too much. I plan to take half of the block and make spicy tuna out of it for maki rolls. The other half of the block I will probably just sear. Will not order again.

My entire order was delicious and this tuna was no exception. I love how everything was vacuum-packed and shipped frozen. The only "bump in the road" I experienced was that the order was delayed due to FedEx/weather related issues that resulted in wasted fresh scallops. I would like to point out that Eric from Catalina was EXTREMELY professional and customer service-oriented and immediately took the appropriate measures to resolve the matter. Next time I plan on trying out other tuna selections offered by this company as I will definitely be ordering from Catalina Offshore again in the very near future! I highly recommend them not only for quality fish but for exceptional customer service.

This Tuna is the BEST and easiest for the novice chef. Just slice and eat. It lasts a long time in the freeser (keep all fish in the center of the freezer) and it is ready for that quick snack or aptizer.

My family was skeptical of mail-oder sushi-grade fish but we are all now believers! Loved it. Will order again soon
