Very Fresh, Hard To Find Item |

Extremely pleased with Catalina's products. I have ordered the Sea Urchins on multiple occasions and have never been dissapointed. Sea Urchins are enjoyed in our Italian family and the fact we can find this rare item online is tremendous. Always shipped with plenty of ice and newspaper for insulation in a foam chest. Thanks to COP and their consistent great service.

dead on arrival |

these urchins were small (tennis ball sized) as advertised but DOA. The spines were not protruding outward but rather angled towards the body as if shriveled up. Also, one of urchins had cracked in the delivery process and the insides were all over the plastic bag. The actual taste of the gonads was good for four out of the six urchins (yellow-orangy color as expected) but the others had turned a darker shade of orange (from being dead too long I'm guessing). I'll try the larger black urchins next time.
