Masago is a popular type of roe that comes from the capelin fish, which is a member of the salmon family. Masago is small crunchy orange eggs that is used in a variety of sushi rolls to add an additional texture and flavor. It is used commonly as a substitute for the more expensive and traditional tobikko (flying fish roe). We sell masago in 3 ounce and 1 kilogram containers. Our masago is a product of Azuma Foods and originates in the United States.

  • high fructose corn syrup,
  • soy sauce (soybean, water, wheat, salt),
  • salt,
  • monosodium glutamate,
  • FD&C Yellow #6.

I used this on an inside-out roll, used it in my spicy scallop sauce, it's fantastic and you won't run out of uses for it!

We love this Masago!  It is a staple for every order.  Must have and always delicious!
Spread it on the outside of your sushi rolls for color and flavor, must have for spicy tuna too.
