The shrimp were dead when they arrived but still super fresh. I froze about 1/2 on the spot and used the rest to make amaebi. Sweetest ebi ever! I even fried up the heads after watching how on youtube. Amaebi has gotten so expensive in restaurants where I live that this is a much more sensible way to deal with the urge.

These are THE sweetest Amaebi I have tried. I can get locally live and kicking spot prawns from Alaska, which are also very tasty.
But for Sashimi, while they look exactly the same, the sweetness does not compare to the ones Catalina provides..
Will definitely order more...

the best ever! managed to remove the shell from head and body leaving the roe and legs in tact,deep fried the whole shrimp,outstanding!!the smaller ones are great sashimi

Received 11 of the sweetest shrimp I have ever tasted. One was so bloody big it was like a little lobster. Worth every cent..Nothing in my local sushi bars comes close....even got half a cup of stock from the shells for the next fish stew......
