this Salmon is over-the-top delicious.  My husband and I take our Salmon consumption very seriously!  Until we tried this Scottish Salmon, we thought that we had had the best!  Just goes to show you, never give up on seeking the ultimate in flavor.  I do up my veges first then add the Salmon.  This Scottish Salmon will take on the fresh vege flavor and satisfy the palette as well as the body!  You can't go wrong with this Scottish Salmon.

Arrived frozen. I had to trim a little skin off the back-side, but other than that it was perfect. There was no fishy smell, and it cut like butter. I'll be getting all my salmon from here.

One, if not the best sake I used for sushi/sashimi February 18, 2013

I had been a sushi chef for a number of years, but now make sushi for friends and family and this salmon must be one of the best quality pieces of fish I had come across. the belly part was so oily and soft! Not to mention the taste, not fishy at all considering it was salmon! I had made sushi, sashimi and rolls for some very discerning sushi lovers and I had never received more complements! If you have the chance to get your hands on some of this, you have to include this into your "must haves"! P.S. I had some leftover the next day and decided to make a seared sashimi salad with a garlic ponzu sauce and found the oil content of this salmon to start to break apart soon as it was seared so be careful! Yum!!!!!!

I can't believe how delicious the salmon is!  A little wasabi, nori and avocado, and it was mouth watering!

Sandi robbed me of a few pounds, so I am a little depressed :-(

I placed my first order with Catalina and couldn't be happier. This salmon was perfectly filleted and ready for my sushi/sashimi platter. The texture was really nice, smooth and fatty. I wouldn't hesitate to order this from them again and I will once my supply has run out!

As far as Frozen Salmon goes this product is outstanding. I Love the Saikou for how lean it is and how clean it tastes, However it only comes fresh. This Scottish salmon is much fattier which is not a bad quality. It has a smooth buttery texture. The flavor is rich and creamy. This is my 2nd favorite next to Fresh Saikou. I served both yesterday to a table full of seasoned chefs and foodies to show the difference of the two. They complement each other quite well. I always order both!

This is the best frozen salmon Catalina offers at the moment... if they offered frozen New Zealand though...

This is the best frozen salmon they have though for sushi/sashimi ...

This is AMAZING salmon, just fatty enough, really great for sushi/sashimi! Feel free to cook it even if you don't eat sushi, it's the best quality salmon I've ever had and you'll love it too!
