Party Review June 26, 2010
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Mystic, CT United States
I purchased 3 lbs of tuna for a house party of international scientists.  I always order the fish for delivery a day before the party.  The sushi was a huge hit and devoured as fast as I could make it.  The tuna arrives “skin on”.  Make sure you have a razor sharp knife.  I toss the skin and all ways use a small portion of the cut to make spicy tuna rolls in lieu of sashimi.  Ninety-five percent of the cut was used for sushi or sashimi.  As always, Awesome job Catalina!

Not so fresh April 15, 2010
Reviewer: David Tran from San Diego, CA United States
Found this on google and since I was located in San Diego, I decided to pick up the 2 pounds of tuna after reading reviews. First off, the packaging was great. everything was tightly sealed and they even gave me an ice pack to keep the tuna cool on the way home. When I got home and opened the tuna, I was welcomed with a foul fishy smell and portion of the tuna was unedible as it was soaked in blood. After skinning and washing the tuna, I tried a slice for sashimi and tasted fishy which suggested that it was not as fresh as it was suppose to be. The remainder I had to eat as seared tuna after being marninated to mask the fish smell. Was not what I expected and probably will not order again.

All Seafood March 24, 2010
Reviewer: tina miller from bernville, PA United States
I love this company. Their seafood is delivered so fast and on ice and I have eaten the sushi/sashimi for a few years now from them. Awesome. Easy to grind up for spicy tuna or just thinly slice and put over rice. I have yet to try their shellfish but I had raw scallops at a bar the other day and was in heaven. I want to try that with their scallops. I bought the seabass too and that was fantastic. The portions are huge. I saw the seabass when I got it and said there is no way my husband and I can eat that entire thing. So I halfed it. Made a dish and the other half I am going to grill. I just love this place and if you want high quality low priced seafood this is the place. Oddly enough it is less expensive for me to order from these guys and have them ship to me than going to my local seafood market Adelphia. I don't like buying seafood at my local grocers.

Great tuna March 23, 2010
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Gig Harbor, WA United States
This tuna is great quality, but after having the farmed bluefin, I prefer the farmed a little more. The flavor of this wild bluefin tuna is a little milder than the farmed, believe it or not. It is a good second place fish for sashimi when the farmed bluefin is out of stock though! If you're putting it into rolls, this tuna will more than carry its weight.

Arrived half frozen with large portion of blood January 27, 2010
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Dallas, TX United States
I was really disappointed to order fresh tuna and receive a block of fish that is half frozen.   About 1/3 of the fish was tainted with blood, spoiling the flavor of the entire section.  Also, the tuna had that strong fishy odor that suggested it was not as fresh as it should be.  The flavor was not good enough to eat as sashimi.  I ended up making pan seared ahi.

Decent but... December 28, 2009
Reviewer: Jeff Lewis from Kansas City, MO United States
The quality of the fish is great, but along with your 2lbs of fish @ price/lb you get about .75lb of blood meat and skin that you must dispose of, leaving you with about 1.25 lbs of edible meat.  Overall, I'd say it's good.
