Saying goodbye to my favorite sushi restaurant! August 5, 2008

This yellowtail was the best I've tasted in a long time.  As soon as I received it, I cut and vac packed one half, threw that one in the freezer and started thawing out the other.  About 4 hours later, I was in bliss!!

I ordered for my first order 2 pounds of salmon sashimi, one piece of yellowfin (maguro) tuna, and one of these bad boys..I think out of all three this was my favorite one. It came in a near perfect loin with VERY little waste needing to be cut off. I screwed up a little and cut too deep on the bloodline causing me to have a few thin slices but i just threw them on rainbow rolls. THIS IS AMAZING. I didn't want to eat any of the other fish anymore once i tried this!! this is HIGHLY recommended for every order!! Thanks so much Jeff!

Great Sushi - Easy to work with May 1, 2008

This Hamachi was wonderful. I served it at a surprise Bday party and it was a huge hit. I sliced lots of nigiri cuts both oily and lean and when I got close to the end, i chopped up the smaller pieces and what was left and mixed with mayo and green onion and made little rice and seaweed wrap pieces. Unbelieveable! Great job again Jeff!

Easy to thaw instructions printed on bag. This tasted great with very little waste. So far so good. I got a freezer full of products and I'm reviewing them all one by one. Again, this is alot of sushi, you'll need help to finish in two days...

This is the best tasting hamachi I have ever had...(don't miss my location...New York City where I have access to excellent sashimi in every block)..but this hamachi is just outstanding, it tastes sweet, it melts in your mouth...just try this and I doubt you will ever enjoy any other sashimi as much as you will with the different fishes they have here.

this is a nice way to branch out from the usual salmon and tuna that we are all familiar with...this fish has a firm texture, the mild flavor of tuna, with the buttery, fatty after taste of salmon.  beautiful on a platter, delicious on the palate!

Just like everything I've ordered From Catlaina Offshore, the hamachi is amazing. Great texture and taste. Always a hit at our sushi parties. Try it sashimi style with some green onions that have been soaking in some ponzu sauce on top.
