Sashimi in Wyoming...impossible some of my friends might say. The quality of the salmon was very good with a great texture and super fresh taste. I can't wait to order more.

Salmon for carpaccio July 21, 2009
Reviewer: Fairlington Blade from Alexandria, VA United States
Delish! I just received my first order this morning and we had sushi tonight. I used the salmon to make a fish carpaccio and it beats anything I can find locally.

The fish arrived quickly (with multiple updates) and frozen. You couldn't ask for anything better.

WOW... my expectations were exceeded! April 7, 2009
Reviewer: Justin O from Albuquerque, NM United States
Ordered 2lbs of this Salmon, and after trying some this weekend, I don't know if I ever want to pay for Sake, in a Sushi restaurant, ever again!

AMAZINGLY fresh, and as good as (if not better than) the best I've had here in the desert, or elsewhere "inland". The reviews DO NOT LIE... this is some of the best Sashimi grade Salmon, you will find... PERIOD!

P.S. Jeff is awesome! He fixed an address goof-up (on my part) the same day, which then allowed my order to ship as normal. Great products, great customer service, and an amazing company... I'm officially in love w/ Catalina!

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! January 15, 2009
Reviewer: Douglas Leone from Farmington, CT United States
I have been buying sushi online for 5-6 years and eating sushi at restaurants for longer than I can remember. Catalina's salmon has been far superior in quality and price to every other online sushi site and walk in big name sushi bars.
I will never use another sushi vendor besides Catalina.

Awesome December 31, 2008
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Stillwater, MN United States
This deal is amazing. They aren't kidding about "twice as fresh for half the price." In addition to the savings, it tastes better than the sashimi at my local Japanese restaurant.

Having ordered from Catalina many times over the years, this salmon is always a perennial favorite amongst ourselves and our guests. Always buttery and delicious! Order extra and thaw it out when you need a quick Omega 3 fix!

First Time Buyer October 22, 2008
Reviewer: Desiree West from Wichita Falls, TX United States
I was extremely nervous buying online and having delivered to a smaller city in Texas that wasn't exactly a hub.  But, I wanted to learn to make my own sushi and wanted to do it correctly.  I found this site in the book I had bought for this purpose, "Sushi for Dummies", and placed an order.  Overnight delivery got to me about noon the following day.  Although the dry ice was gone, the fish I had chosen was still frozen and absolutely pristine!  I saved a small piece for tasting that evening and was very happy with the texture and the taste and would highly recommend this online shop for your needs.  Their prices more than make up for the overnight shipping costs.  I found this to be a wonderful experience and would purchase again without reservation.

Our Favorite September 1, 2008
Reviewer: John Andrew Graff from Rindge, NH United States
We purchased seven types of fish. All were clean, fresh and tasty. The salmon was our favorite...really fresh, buttery texture, beautiful as sashimi or nigiri. A boning knife removed the skin with ease, and the dog appreciated the little gift too. We bought a pound. On arrival I thawed it all just enough to portion...cut into 4 quarter pound pieces, double wrapped tightly in plastic wrap and put in a ziplock...ate our last piece after 4-5 weeks in the freezer and it's still just as good!

freshness from the internet! July 10, 2008
Reviewer: Jonathan Cordova from Secaucus, NJ United States
The hardest part of serving it was skinning the fillet. The cuts come from the side of the fish (representing 1/2 of a salmon steak without bones). It shows that the salmon is smaller (and thus healthier) than tuna. With a good fillet knife, the salmon was relatively easy to skin on my first try. A good, long knife makes a big difference slithering through the thin part.

And the salmon did make possibly the freshest sashimi I have ever eaten, and I eat sashimi a lot. Just like they say, it tastes like it was harvested two days ago.
