I mean, it is tilapia and it is inexpensive! With that in mind, it makes for a nice addition to add some variety to a large tray of nigiri. I am pleased with it, but would not base a meal on this item alone :)

Fishy, rubbery |

The fishy taste was overwhelming and made it unsuitable for sashimi. I had to cook it and eat it that way. Also, the texture of it while raw is strangely rubbery and "crispy"--difficult to describe but we both thought that it was off-putting. I ordered four, so still have three more in the freezer to cook...not ordering again.

My first fillet had a powerful fishy taste that overpowered even the spicy garlic sauce I added to it. I was not happy with the result. The 5 dollar a pound tilapia I get at my local store is better. I will cook the other fillet and not order it again.
